Sometime back the Times of india reported a 21 yr old kirori mal college(du) student trying to commit suicide for not able to get into top b schools.
In India the scene is really pathetic as far as mba admissions r concerned.
i mean where the hell commerce grads like us will go .. Even DU has no bloody respect at mba admission committee.

“Medieval ideas†and the “Talabanisation of Amity†are a few of the epithets being hurled at the actions of the administration of Amity University in Noida. And the cause? A stringent enforcement of a dress code that does not allow the students to wear jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, and certain kinds of skirts.
The dress code mandates that, instead, men must wear formal shirts and trousers, with Blazers during the winter, and women must wear saris, salwar kameezes, or restricted types of Western formal attire. Formal shoes are required for both genders. The administration states that the code is necessary to present a professional attitude to corporate recruiters and the industry officials who visit the campus.

DU protesters get harassment dose

When Delhi University's Executive Council (EC) meeting didnot have the sexual harassment inquiry reports on its agenda. Even after repeated statements of vice-chancellor Deepak Pental that the university would "do its duty" and take action "as per the rules". Among the pending inquiry reports are those of Gandhi Bhawan and Punjabi department cases.

The festival time at the DU campus! It's that time of the year when color, celebration, crowds and cash prizes come together all at once! It's THE time to rejoice, compete and show to the world what you are made of. And so everyone joins in - the 'Barely-out-of-school' rock bands, enthusiastic DJs or fervent debaters - talent meets pizzas. The last minute scramble for passes isn't yet over for some and the others who were really lucky enough to get the passes were seen waiting in long queues for their favorite rockshow.

THICK AND FLUFFY The pooris at Bille di Hatti at Kamla Nagar are just that Some students @ DU are busy telling them what they should read, and some what they should wear. I am doing something even better: I am going to tell them what they should be eating. For generations, Delhi University students have been heading for Chacha's chholeywallah in Kamla Nagar for his kulchey-chholey. But not too many people seem to know Bille, where you get the most delicious poori-chholey.

Kamla Nagar the place to be @north campus DU

Kamla Nagar is one of the major shopping centers in Delhi, India and is situated next to the North Campus, University of Delhi just opposite to the HansRaj College. The market is famous for popular brands of fashion apparel and the spicy street food. The market is a popular hangout for college students, many of whom live in hostels and rented accommodation close by.
